Volunteering with Healing Paws for Heroes is an opportunity to make a profound and lasting impact on the lives of disabled veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country. By joining our team of dedicated volunteers, you become an essential part of our mission to provide life-saving service dogs to veterans dealing with PTSD, TBI, and Mobility Challenges. Your time, energy, and compassion can transform the lives of these heroes, offering them support and a renewed sense of independence.
k9 coach or foster parent
We currently have no foster homes. We have one trainer that is training a puppy we rescued
this year, but puppies have to mature into dogs before becoming service dogs.
Our goal is to get a network of Fosters and volunteers willing to house and help train dogs that can be trained to a state of readiness, with good socialization with people and other animals in public settings, available to match with our recipient needs with their temperament, energy
level, and skill sets.
This would increase our ability to help more veterans and speed up the time between
application approval and pairing.
Hosting an event in your area to benefit our mission is an incredible way to help us serve more Veterans and dogs. No matter if its for your birth day, in memory of a family member or a holiday, its a great way to support.
